Tests
Vision test required at renewal. Written test required only if point accumulations result in suspension (12 points in 12 mo., or 18 points in 24 mo., for non-minor and non-commercial drivers).
Vision Tests
Minimum acuity must be 20/70 in the better eye if worse eye is 20/200 or better; 20/40 if worse eye is worse than 20/200. Bioptic telescopes are permitted to meet acuity standard.
Special Requirements
At age 61, reduction in renewal to 5 years. No renewal by mail at age 66.
Accelerated Renewal
5 years for people 61 and older.
OtherProvisions
Mail or electronic renewal not available to people 61 and older and to people whose prior renewal was electronic or by mail.
