Quality Caregiver Training: Online Caregiver Certification

Quality senior caregiving requires training in the proper skills.  While senior care might appear to be an easy job, it actually requires many skills.  It is not the same as spending time with a Grandparent.  And it is also very different from child care.  Children are taught to listen to their babysitters.  As for seniors, well, they might even be resistant to the caregiving services a caregiver is providing, even though they know the care is needed.

Senior caregiver training skills are taught by senior care professionals, including Geriatric Care Managers.  Some state Departments of Health have began to require mandates for certain caregiver skills to be taught to professional caregivers.

Caregiverlist’s Certified Caregiver training course provides a 10-hour online caregiver training program, powered by aQuire Training, a leader in Certified Nursing Aide training and Assisted Living Continuing Education.  The 10-hour online caregiver training course meets the 8-hour training required by the state of Illinois and is the standard training that any program would require for professional caregivers.

You may review the Certified Caregiver Training course modules and purchase the course to take online, at your own pace.  Once you have passed at the 80% level, you will be able to print out the Certificate.

This 10-hour training course allows you to learn the caregiving skills through reading the course materials or by listening to an audio version.  You will take the exam for each module, to allow you to absorb and learn each set of skills before going on to the next.  You may re-take each module exam, if needed. You will be given your own secure log-in and password and may study and take the exams at your own pace. Upon completion you receive a certificate and your name is added to the database registry of training certified caregivers.  Professional caregivers may apply for caregiving jobs with senior care companies in their area.  Family caregivers can also gain skills by taking the course.

Review the Certified Caregiver Training Modules and purchase the online caregiver training course.
